Shari McMahan, PhD, MS, CHES, is Dean of the College of Health and Human Development at Cal State Fullerton. She also serves as Director of the university's Center for the Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles and Obesity Prevention Center. Dr. McMahan is quite proud of the Master’s of Public Health program at CSUF as it is the only accredited public health program in Orange County. Her research utilizes a social ecological approach in the prevention of obesity. Dr. McMahan is a Certified Health Education Specialist and Vice President elect for the Division of Health at the Southwest District of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
