Dr. Kristofer Brock is an assistant professor in the Department of Human Communication Studies-Communicative Disorders at Cal State Fullerton. Professor Brock is a trained speech-language pathologist who recently graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. His research emphasis includes investigating the effects of technology and software interface designs in augmentative and alternative communication devices with individuals with limited functional speech. He is focused on conducting collaborative research looking at training of nursing students and professionals in implementing technology-based and non-technology-based tools to help individuals with limited speech communication in acute-care and rehabilitation settings. Dr. Brock has given over a dozen oral and poster presentations on the topic of speech communications, including presentations at the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association Conference. In addition, his research has also been recently published in the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research.
