Dr. Marcelo Tolmasky is a professor in the Department of Biological Science at Cal State Fullerton. His main research interest is in antibiotic resistance. His publication record includes basic as well as applied work (http://biology.fullerton.edu/mtolmasky/publicationsMT.html). He is a co-editor of the book Enzyme-Mediated Resistance to Antibiotics: Mechanisms, Dissemination, and Prospects for Inhibition published by the American Society for Microbiology. Professor Tolmasky is also director of the Center for Applied Biotechnology Studies at CSUF, academic visitor at the University of Oxford, UK, corresponding investigator at Fundación Instituto Leloir, Argentina and academic affiliate to the Center for Microbial Sciences, San Diego State University.
